National Park Service Visitor Center & Ranger-Guided Tour
We offer free programs that include guided outdoor tours on the factory grounds, museum exhibits, and a gift shop. Our tours are usually 45 minutes long and discuss the main themes of the park--innovation in rail travel, the design of the town, the Strike of 1894, and the Pullman Porters. We are also happy to customize a program that meets the specific interests of your group.
Historic Pullman Foundation Exhibit Hall & Tours
The Historic Pullman Foundation has a separate exhibit hall, focused on the history of the town and their work in the community. You can also schedule a group tour of the neighborhood with the Historic Pullman Foundation. Their tours are generally a more detailed account of the town's design and architecture. National A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum (currently under construction)
The National A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum is dedicated to telling the long history of the Pullman porters, from slavery to the Civil Rights Movement. They are currently working on an expansion, so their museum may not be open when your group is here, but it may still be possible to schedule to visit with them by calling the number on their website.
The Pulllman House Project
The Pullman House Project's Welcome Center is located in the renovated home of one of Pullman's General Manager, H.H. Sessions. In the Welcome Center you find exhibits, visitor orientation, and the Pullman Club Coffee Shop (Open 8 am - 3 pm Tuesday - Sunday)
