Junior Ranger Fishing Program at Leatherwood Ford

Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is inviting youth to celebrate summer by learning to fish with a park ranger. Join us for another ranger-led fishing program!
On Saturday, July 18 at 10:00 AM ET, a park ranger will introduce children ages 12 and under to the basics of fishing, including recreational fishing skills and how to identify some native fish found in the area. At the conclusion of the program, participating youth will receive a fishing pole and an official Junior Ranger Angler badge.
Fishing equipment is limited to first-time participants only. Reservations are required, and space is limited.
This program is made possible by a Junior Ranger Angler grant from the National Park Foundation.
