Valley Forge National Historical Park will commemorate the Continental Army's legacy and honor all of America's military, past and present, with special events throughout the day. 

Commemoration Ceremony at the National Memorial Arch 11a.m.-12:30 p.m.

 Posting of colors by 1st NJ Regimental Color Guard

“To the Colors” performed by Howard Reitenbaugh

National Anthem performed by Penn View Brass Ensemble

Pledge of Allegiance led by BSA Troop #3

“America the Beautiful” performed by Ashton Tyler (Eagle Scout)

Invocation by Capt. Gerald Hale, USCG (Ret.)

Various speakers including park superintendent and elected officials

Wreath laying, artillery salute, and playing of “Taps”

Armed Forces Medley performed by Penn View Brass Ensemble

Retiring of colors

American Military Through the Ages at the Muhlenberg Brigade Huts  (Tour stop #2)
1 – 4 p.m.
Park staff, volunteers, and veterans will present America's military history from the perspectives of a variety of conflicts including the Revolutionary, Civil, and Vietnam Wars. 

Trolley tours  12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Starting at the visitor center. All military personnel will be receive a 10% discount.

Artillery firing demonstration at the Muhlenberg Brigade Huts (Tour stop #2) 3 p.m.

Rangers and volunteers dressed as an 18th century cannon crew will conduct a firing demonstration and artillery program.
