“Let the paint and brush be what it wants to be, and let your talent express who you are!” - Dominic Arquero

As an enrolled member of Cochiti Pueblo, Dominic's artistic talent has run through his family for generations, continually carving out his career in visual arts. A painter for of 50 years he has developed his talents into a full-time career.

Winner of various awards, attributes, and public commissions(murals), he continues to develop his style in many forms. A painter by trade he works mostly with acrylics, watercolors, and other water-based paints. Painting two-dimensional works on paper and canvas, along with three dimensional objects such as pottery, gourds, and jewelry. Dominic’s works are shown in various galleries, museums, and shops around the country.

Demonstrations are free and open to the public and take place on the back patio of the Bandelier visitor center.

This program is made possible by funding from the Friends of Bandelier National Monument to cover costs like demonstrators' travel and their time.
