Free public event.
On Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., the National Park Service will hold a Rose Garden Ceremony to commemorate Franklin Roosevelt's 143rd Birthday.
West Point will provide the honor guard and color guard. Brigadier General Rogelio J. Garcia, the Commandant of Cadets at West Point will deliver the remarks. State Senator Michelle Hinchey will be attending. Anna Roosevelt Fierst (great granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt) will be presenting a wreath on behalf of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Various community organizations will be presenting wreaths as well.
Following the ceremony, the FDR Presidential Library will invite attendees to return to the Wallace Center for birthday cake and refreshments.
