Description
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of harmony for all, so let's come together over MLK Day weekend to make a change.
Head on down to Fort Foote on January 18 for a trash cleanup along the park's shoreline in honor of King's legacy! Hosted by the National Park Service, this exciting event will help keep pollution out of the Potomac River, a crucial waterway for both wildlife and communities.
Volunteers will meet at 8915 Fort Foote Rd, Fort Washington, MD 20744 at 9:30 AM, where NPS will provide all supplies and materials. Bring suitable foot(e)wear for rocky terrain along the water and prepare for a meaningful morning of service!
