Join the National Park Service and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, Inc. (ASALH) as we celebrate the 144th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, the "Father of African American History."

Event highlights will include a special preview of draft plans for permanent exhibits, actor Phil Darius Wallace will portray Dr. Woodson, and a musical tribute to 400 years of African Americans in America by the D.C. Strings Workshop.
