Description

Throughout his political career, as assemblyman, police commissioner, governor, and president, Theodore Roosevelt came out strongly in favor of women’s rights, including support for women’s suffrage.

Denise Giachetta-Ryan, former CUNY professor and Chair of the Department of Nursing, will speak about TR’s progressive views on women and his meetings with social reformers, trade unionists, and suffragists, who fought for women’s rights.
