Description
On July 4th 1965 demonstrators marched across the street from Independence Hall calling attention to the
discrimination facing the gay and lesbian community. These protests marked some of the first organized gay
rights demonstrations in the United States. Join a park ranger for a slide program about the LGBT movement’s
roots at Independence Hall.
