Description
A special presentation by Dr. Niki Parenteau, Research Scientist, NASA Ames Research Center.
Researchers estimate that each of the roughly 100 billion stars in our Milky Way galaxy should have at least one exoplanet. What would life look like on planets orbiting stars different than our Sun? Discover how studying life in Lassen’s hot springs can help inform our search for life elsewhere using the recently launched James Webb Space Telescope, and the next Great Observatory planned for the 2030’s, the Infrared/Optical/ultraviolet telescope.
