This two-hour photography walk downtown will begin at Moody Street Feeder Gatehouse (269 Merrimack St), tour Lowell and open your eyes & capture Lowell’s Vibe!

About the artist:

I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, the hometown of Bette Davis, Jack Kerouac, and James McNeill Whistler.  I attended The University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where I studied Comparative Literature, and the University of Grenoble in France.  I then went on to pursue photography at the Essex Photographic Workshop in Essex, Massachusetts.

Materials used:

Attendees need to bring a personal camera.

Parking: Lowell National Historical Park visitors may park at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District (HCID) parking garage at 350 Dutton Street. About Art in the Park

Join Lowell National Historical Park and diverse local artists for our summer Art in the Park series of plein air art workshops. Under the guidance and teaching of local artists, we will use Lowell as a backdrop for inspiration and expression. Join in to grow your creative skill in different mediums, from drawing and watercolor to portrait work and acrylic painting. Each artist will bring their own expertise to share with you and help facilitate your own process of creating.

Please note the age guidance for each workshop - some workshops are more well-suited to younger artists and family groups than others. Reservations are required for all Art in the Park programs as there is limited capacity. Please call 978-970-5000 to reserve a spot.

All programs will be outdoors, with either rain locations or rain dates. All Art in the Park programs are free. Lowell National Historical Park will have limited supplies on hand for shared use during each workshop; you are welcome to bring your own supplies as well. The materials used in each workshop are listed below.
