Description

World Oceans Day is June 8, 2019! Come out to Limantour Beach and help Park Staff remove plastic and trash that have washed up on our beloved, protected beach! Participate in beach stewardship and learn more in a brief program about ocean health and the impact of plastics in marine environments.

Make your connection to oceans around the world on this day with the National Park Service! Please wear appropriate clothing, dress in layers, and bring a lunch and water. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Drop-ins are welcomed!

Contact: May Slen, Community Volunteer Ambassador, by email or call 415-464-5133.

Are you heading out to Drakes Beach on June 8?
At 1:30 pm, a Park Ranger will be leading a program called "Revenge of the Nurdles" for visitors to join in. Learn about what nurdles are and how nurdles are ending up on our beaches! Check out other daily Ranger-Guided programs offered this summer!
