Remembering Camp Wellfleet

Between World War 2 until the establishment of the National Seashore, the Outer Cape was abuzz with military activity. The booming of artillery and droning of aircraft were common sounds of summer, as was the influx of soldiers. Hear their stories and discover the remnants of the bygone military training center at Camp Wellfleet. Program requires walking though wooded and sandy areas, please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. No bathrooms available. Meet at park headquarters parking lot in Wellfleet
