Description

The Wilderness landscape of Congaree National Park has a story to tell that spans thousands of years. Knowing the story of this unique natural landscape that is preserved today within the park, as well as that of the many people who have been a part of it, is key to understanding why Congaree is such a special place. Join a park ranger for a program on this long and fascinating history and why this landscape is so important for the local community, the state, and our country as a whole.

This program will take place at the benches on the boardwalk just past the Harry Hampton Visitor Center.
