Description
As the Battle of Stones River raged across the fields and forests near Murfreesboro, hundreds of Confederate soldiersĀ found themselves fighting for more than victory. Those men were fighting on the very land they had tilled and among the homes of family and friends. These soldiers from Murfreesboro and Rutherford County had everything on the line.
Park rangers will share the stories of these soldiers who fought in every major phase of the battle while volunteers present musket firing demonstrations at 10 & 11 AM and 1, 2 & 3 PM.
