11:00 From Africa to America: The Advent of Negro Spirituals AM Join Ranger Lawson Nwakudo from the National Park Service as he explores the history of spirituals and how they serve as the cultural undergirding of African American music. Please meet in our multi- purpose room.
NOON Tubman's Tree: Harriet Tubman and the Eastern Red Cedar
Join Ranger Collin Higgins from the Maryland Park Service and discover the majesty of the Red Cedar and the role it played in the life of Harriet Tubman. Also enjoy the opportunity to make your own leaf rubbing of the Eastern Red Cedar here at our park! Please meet in our multi- purpose room.

from the Eastern Shore, are examples of the courageous people who took the initiative to escape slavery. They used their intelligence and ingenuity to escape slave catchers and, after taking many risks, to settle at their destinations. Brought to you by The National Park Service's National UGRR Network to Freedom, Join Jenny Masur as she shares the stories of these unsung heroes. Please meet in our multi-purpose room. 1:00 Meet Harriet Tubman Enjoy a memorable interpretation of Harriet PM Tubman during our Harriet Tubman Day Celebration. Hear Tubman's story through a reenactment by the Official Griot for the State of Maryland, Janice Curtis Greene and experience a historical journey that you will never forget. 2:00 Visions of Freedom Born 201 years ago on Maryland's Eastern Shore, PM Harriet Tubman was a conductor of the Underground Railroad, a Civil War scout, nurse and spy, and one of the greatest freedom fighters in our nation's history. After the screening of Visions of Freedom join us for a question and answer session with Ranger Angela Crenshaw. Please meet in our theater.

Family Activities Join Ranger Michael Fray in the library for a reading of the children's book "An Apple for Harriet Tubman" by Glennette Tilley 3:30 Turner at noon. After the reading please stay for some traditional PM children's games and crafts.
