Description

Join a ranger-photographer to learn the basics of nature photography. This workshop is intended for beginning photographers wanting to explore how to take nature pictures. Learn the advantages of various camera formats, exposure times, composition, and much more to enhance your ability to take beautiful nature images.

Acting Superintendent Ryan Groves reminds us, “This is a rare opportunity to enjoy Horseshoe Bend during the beautiful evening light. Join us to learn more about beginning photography and to experience the park at a special time of day.”

To participate, meet Ranger Barclay at the Horseshoe Bend Visitor Center located at 11288 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Daviston, AL, at 5:30 p.m. CST.

The program begins inside, and then the group will take a short walk to experiment with their new skills.

Suggested Equipment List:

  • Camera (any kind, even cell phones)
  • Tripod
  • Bug spray
  • Water and snacks

The workshop is FREE to the public and no registration is required.
