The 48th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment returns to Fort Pulaski for their annual Veterans Day Weekend living history event. The 48th garrisoned the fort for over a year in 1862/63. Living on the coast of Georgia after the fall of the fort led to many opportunities and challenges for the men. Witness the daily routine of a regiment on garrison duty as our living historians bring the American Civil War to life. There will be a number of programs and demonstrations for the whole family to enjoy.
