Elijah Hartman's Wartime Revue: A Love Letter to the 1940s and World War Two Era Swing.
Elijah Hartman is a multilingual vocalist, arranger, lyricist, and performer, bringing a youthful revival to Swing/Big Band Era Jazz while also exploring: R&B/Soul, ’70s and ’80s classics, Cabaret, Musical Theatre, Latin music, and Opera. A rising star in the New Orleans scene, he blends his New York–Puerto Rican roots with the rich influences of New Orleans and Paris, crafting a sound all his own.
Known for his personal saying, “Old souls recognize old souls,” Elijah draws inspiration from legends such as Judy Garland, Tony Bennett, Donna Summer, and Celia Cruz. He has studied with New Orleans local and world-class artists, including Cyrille Aimée, Wessell “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Amina Scott, Banu Gibson, Meryl Zimmerman, and Leah Chase, earning praise for his vast vocal range, scat singing, inventive arrangements, lyrical interpretations, and a voice that merges Broadway belting with velvety jazz tones.
Elijah has performed with the Loyola University New Orleans Jazz Band at Jazz Fest, with his combo, Elijah Hartman and His Swingin’ Friends at venues across New Orleans, and as a featured singer with Wessell “Warmdaddy” Anderson at the historic Pontchartrain Hotel’s Bayou Bar.
With his expansive repertoire and dynamic performances, Elijah brings both nostalgia and fresh energy to every stage, transporting audiences back to the golden era of jazz while pushing music forward.
