Description
Mountain music, played primarily with string instruments, has long been a form of entertainment in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Today, it remains a valued cultural resource preserved by the Blue Ridge Parkway. During your visit to the Blue Ridge Music Center, an interpretive volunteer will demonstrate how the science of physics causes strings to create the different musical notes needed to play a melody.
