Thousands of Southerners served within Union lines during the nation’s Civil War. However, one remarkable man decided to desert his Confederate post in 1862 and join the First Alabama Cavalry Regiment, U.S. Please join us as Lieutenant David R. Snelling shares his transition from Confederate soldier to one of General Sherman’s most trusted officers.

Fees

Entrance to Point Park is $10 per adult (ages 16 years and older; ages 15 years and younger enter free of charge). If a visitor has an America the Beautiful National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Pass, the passholder and three other adults may enter for free.
