OSS Day

Prince William Forest Park

Special Event
  • Nov 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM
  • Free

Explore a little-known part of the park and tour a cabin camp built in the 1930s. Join park rangers at Cabin Camp 2 at Prince William Forest Park to learn more about the period of the park’s history in the 1940s when the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) trained spies in the park. Take a rugged two mile hike off-trail with a ranger to an old OSS training ground at 10:00 am or tour the cabin camp to learn more about the OSS. Unfortunately, the off-trail hike is inaccessible to wheelchairs and strollers, though the cabin camp tour is open to all. It is recommended to wear long pants and hiking shoes if planning to do the off-trail hike.
