Artist in Residence Public Program
Special Event
Join Crystal Floyd, artist in residence with Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve, on Saturday, May 2nd from 9am to 3 pm for an immersive gelli plate nature print demonstration and workshop inspired by the textures and forms of the natural world. Throughout the day, participants are invited to experiment with leaves, grasses, and found materials to create their own one-of-a-kind monoprints, exploring the intersection of art, ecology, and observation. Meet the artist during informal sessions at 9 am and 12 pm to learn more about her process, influences, and connection to the Timucuan landscape, then stay and print at your own pace as you translate the surrounding environment into layered, expressive works on paper.
