Description
Join us on Tuesday, July 12, at 9:30 am in the Hangar Visitor Center at the LBJ Ranch to view NASA’s livestream of the release of the first ever science images from the James Webb Space Telescope! The James Webb Space Telescope will be releasing some of the best images of the cosmos to date and will open the doors for a whole new era of astronomy. Our Scientists in Parks fellow, Isabel, will be there to answer any questions or chat about astronomy and the connection this telescope has with the park. We hope to see you there!
To enter the LBJ Ranch, pick up your free driving permit at the LBJ State Park and Historic Site located on Highway 290 midway between Johnson City and Fredericksburg. Entrance gate at the Ranch opens at 9:00 am. From the state park to the hangar, plan on approximately a 20-minute drive.
