Description

Join a ranger at the Oscar Blevins Loop trailhead off Bandy Creek Road for an easy, 3.6 mile hike to the Oscar Blevins Farm. 

Visitors will see rockshelters, old road beds, and the historic Blevins Farmstead.  Lawrence Blevins, son of Oscar and Martha Ermon Blevins, will be at the farm to talk about the life that he and his parents lived before the creation of Big South Fork NRRA in 1974. 

Bring water, snacks, and wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.  Take advantage of our new BARK Ranger program and bring along your well-behavied dog.  However, leashes are required. 

Visitors can earn 8.6 points towards the 2022 GO BIG challenge.
