National Public Lands Day: Convoy Point Jetty Walk Reopening

Biscayne National Park

Special Event
  • Sep 24, 2022 at 12:00 PM
  • Free

Biscayne National Park joins in our friends across all of the nation's public lands to celebrate National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on September 24, 2022. This year, we are celebrating the reopening of our Jetty Walk Trail at Convoy Point. The trail has been closed since last year while it underwent extensive repairs. We are excited to have the accessible trail open for park visitors once again.

For 2022's NPLD activities, we are focusing on education. In that spirit, please join us for a day of environmental learning and stewardship. Our schedule is as follows:

  • Convoy Point Grounds are open from 7am-8pm.
  • Dante Fascell Visitor Center is open from 9am-8pm.
  • Jetty Walk Trail open from 7a-8pm for independent exploration.
  • Guided Walks along the brand new Jetty trail at 12:30p, 1:30p, 2:30p, 3:30p (Duration: 30 min, Meet: At the Goliath Grouper on the first floor by the restrooms)
  • Fishing clinic from 12pm-4pm. Young anglers can learn sustainable fishing techniques and earn their Junior Angler badge all at the same time!
  • Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve will be onsite with an enducation table.

No reservations required and all activities (to include park entrance) are free.
