Description
Join Park Rangers on June 19th for a special program in celebration of the Juneteenth holiday.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday that celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. In celebration of the holiday, Castle Clinton has invited traditional African musician and master drummer Obayanna Olumide and his group to perform at Castle Clinton.
The traditional African drumming will occur from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. During the program, brochures for the African Burial Ground National Monument and their programming will be available. All programs are free and open to the public.
