New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) Program: Associate Professor of Psychology, Dr. David Pan and NMHU Psychology Graduate Student John Sweat will teach mindfulness exercises while enjoying the natural and historic beauty of Pecos NHP's 1.25-mile Ancestral Sites Trail. The program is free and will begin at the visitor center. 

Mindfulness is a state of active, intentional attention to the present. Research has shown that learning and using mindfulness exercise can help reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. 

This program is offered by NMHU, and taking place at Pecos National Historical Park.
