Rainbow Falls Hike

Discover why Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park is one of the most unique areas in all of North America as you traipse through towering trees and traverse alongside Waterton River. Bring a snack to eat above the cascading water of Rainbow Falls on this easy hike. Board the 10 am cruise from Waterton and make arrangements with the boat company to return on the 2:25 pm boat. Boat tickets are only available in person at the ticket office (www.watertoncruise.com). Easy, 2-mile (3.2 km) hike.

Participants must complete the digital U.S. Customs and Border Protection's ROAM application to participate in this hike. We recommend downloading the CBP ROAM app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and completing the registration process in advance. The process requires the ability to receive a phone call or video chat on your mobile device and may take some time to complete. You cannot initiate this process until you are in Canada, but please do not wait until right before your cruise departs. Visitors are required to have an approved entrance notification prior to starting the hike at Goat Haunt. Hikers should also carry a valid passport.

Fees

This hike requires the purchase of two one-way boat tickets (10 am departure from Waterton Townsite and a 2:25 pm departure from Goat Haunt) booked through Waterton Shoreline Cruises.
