Description
Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a program on the common mammals found along the Chattahoochee River corridor and in your backyards. See and touch pelts from each mammal and see the skulls of each species. Enjoy this fascinating program as the day ends and sunset approaches. Discover new facts about the wildlife of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area with an exciting program on common mammals of the Chattahoochee River Corridor and beyond. You are invited to bring your own marshmallows if you like to roast marshmallows over the campfire. We will provide roasting forks. Join us and enjoy the ambiance and beauty of twilight on the Chattahoochee. You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. After the program you are invited to join us on a short twilight walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail.
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on a forest trail. Dress in layers so that you can adjust to changes in the temperature and activity level. Please bring water and possibly snacks.
