Valley Forge 50/250 Celebration: Visitor Gateway

When: Friday, July 3, 2026 from 9am to 5pm

Where: Visitor Center at Valley Forge (shuttle stop 1)

This 4th of July weekend, begin your visit to Valley Forge National Historical Park at the visitor center and plan your 50/250 experience!

Talk to a park ranger, pick up your Junior Ranger activity book, celebrate the people's park with the My Valley Forge Story exhibit, and listen to engaging stories from Revolutionary War history provided by Historic Philadelphia Inc.

Walk or take the special event shuttle to Muhlenberg's Brigade to see the opening ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Valley Forge National Historical Park and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The park will be extremely busy this day and parking is limited. Please plan accordingly. Additional trip-planning materials and transportation information is available at go.nps.gov/vafo-50-250

The Visitor Gateway includes the main parking lot, special event shuttle, bike rental, the Visitor Center at Valley Forge, the Theater at Valley Forge, and the Mini Grand Parade area.
