 Evening Lecture: Evolution of Weapons in the Frontier War of 1812 Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 7:00pm-8:00pm.
River Raisin National Battlefield Park will host firearms historian Bruce Simmet on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 7:00pm-8:00pm for a presentation on the evolution of civilian and military firearms used on the western frontier during the War of 1812. Simmet has over twenty years of experience as a professional gunsmith and military historian. This program will include a lecture and display of original weapons from Simmet’s collection. This event is free and open to the public.
