Description

Featured speaker on most Fridays

This documentary is shown on a daily schedule. However, most Fridays for the 2pm showing, a docent of Japanese decent will provide an engaging talk before the film. Please call the visitor center if you'd like to know which speaker will be present.

During WWII Japanese immigrants and Japanese-American citizens living on the west coast were removed from their homes and sent to federal prison camps by Executive Order of the President. This in-depth film and discussion focuses on Richmond's Japanese-American citizens who were incarcerated during the Second World War. Join presenters from the Japanese American Citizens League who will share stories from their own experiences as children in the camps.
