Night Skies over the Obed. Ranger-led Telescope Program on June 17th.
Join our Dark Sky Ranger on June 17, 2023 at 9:45 p.m. ET to enjoy the spectacular nightscape at the Lilly Bluff Overlook. An NPS telescope will be available for viewing distant star clusters and galaxies, as well as, the bright stars of the season.
This event is subject to favorable clear-sky conditions. In the event of inclement weather or cloud cover, the event may be cancelled. Be sure to call the Obed Visitor Center before 5 p.m. on the day of the event to confirm the status of the event.
Amateur astronomers are also invited to bring their telescopes to join our program and may contact the visitor center for more information.

This event is free to attend.
Location
Participants should meet at the Lilly Bluff Overlook, which is a short walk from the Lilly Overlook Picnic Area Parking lot. The parking lot is located a quarter-mile after crossing the Lilly Bridge on Ridge Road in Morgan County, Tennessee.
