Trash Clean-up Canoe Trip

Help keep our waters beautiful as you canoe!

Volunteer with us as you paddle along a scenic waterway inside Big Thicket National Preserve. Learn canoe skills, enjoy the beauty, and help keep our waterways clean by picking up trash along the way.

We provide canoes, paddles, life jackets, trash pick-up supplies, and rangers to guide you. Please bring water, snacks, water-ready shoes, and any other gear you might need for a day outside. Trips typically take 3-4 hours.

Reservations:

  • Call 409-951-6700 to reserve.
  • Participants will be signed up as volunteers—please provide an email address for volunteer paperwork when you reserve.
  • We have 16 seats available per trip. Please limit one family per reservation.

Fees

This event is free to attend.

Location

Canoe trip leader will provide specific location 1-2 days before the trip. Trips are usually on Village Creek in Kountze, Silsbee, or Lumberton, or Neches River in Beaumont.
