Description

Hula Arts at Kīlauea

Join us for Volcano Art Center’s "Hula Arts at Kīlauea" highlighting the timeless beauty of hula kahiko, traditional hula. Proudly presented as part of an ongoing series supported by the Volcano Art Center, this event welcomes esteemed hula hālau from across Hawai‘i to share their talents each month. Immerse yourself in the rhythmic movements and rich cultural heritage as the hour-long performance unfolds amidst the serene backdrop of the kahua hula (hula platform) in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.

Admission to this event is free, but park entrance fees apply. The performance is delivered authentically in an outdoor setting, regardless of weather conditions, and without electronic amplification. We encourage audience members to come prepared with sun/rain gear and seating mats.

Due to limited parking availability at the Kīlauea Visitor Center parking lot, we recommend arriving early and carpooling to ensure a seamless experience. Additional parking is available at the Steam Vents parking lot.
