Tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and depart every 20 minutes
Please choose your start time:
6:30, 6:50, 7:10, 7:30, 7:50, and 8:10.
Saturday evening will include a 6pm tour in place of the 6:30
by appointment with the Appomattox 1865 Foundation only;
for those with mobility issues in need of a cart or slower pace.
Limited availability.
Tickets: $12/adult; $5/children up to age 13.
Not recommended for younger children.
Refreshments served at tours end.
It's almost that time of year again! Time to make reservations for the 2019 evening Lantern
tours at the Appomattox Court House National Historic Park.
Experience the park you love in a whole new light.
This year, two nights are offered, each featuring 6 new stories
about the historic women of Appomattox.
Please allow 1 hour to complete your tour and enjoy refreshments. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour. Check in at Table in the main parking lot at the National Park. Park staff will be on-hand after the tour to answer questions. You may bring a flashlight, but it must remain off while each performer is speaking. Wear comfortable shoes, you will be walking and standing. Tours will happen as scheduled, light rain or shine. Heavy rain cancels, no refunds. Your reservation is your tax deductible donation.
Six true stories, told in first person by living historians. Stories cover a wide variety of subjects, all from Appomattox beginning in 1866 and ending in the 1950's.
