Wilson's Creek Homeschool Field Trip Day
Homeschool families are invited to attend an open field trip day on Friday, May 30th, from 9 am - 1 pm!
You may choose your own field trip adventure, with grade appropriate programs at 3 locations throughout the park. Junior Ranger books and Ray House tours will be available throughout the day.
Visitor Center Programs 9 am - 11 am (starting every 30 minutes)
- K - 3rd: Walk with All Your Senses Guided Trail Walk
- 4th - 6th: Load Nine Times: Wooden Musket Drilling
- 7th - High School: Life of a Soldier Talk and Demonstration
Ray House Programs 10 am - 12 pm (starting every 30 minutes)
- K - 3rd: Work & Play Like a Kid Back in the Day
- 4th - 6th: Life in Camp and Letters Home
- 7th - High School: Civil War Medicine
Bloody Hill Programs 11 am - 1 pm (starting every 30 minutes)
- K - 3rd: B is for Battle Story
- 4th - 6th: On the Cannon Crew (no actual cannon firing)
- 7th - High School: This Hallowed Ground Bloody Hill Guided Walk
Programs are liable to change based on weather or changes in staffing. Guided walks will require participants to walk up to a half mile over uneven terrain. Please dress for the weather and come prepared with sunscreen, bug spray, water, and snacks/lunch for the day.

This event is free to attend.
