Description
Old South Church was designed and built between 1798 and 1802 by Asher Benjamin using meeting house plans from his 1797 book, “Country Builder’s Assistant”. This was the first architectural book published by an American author.
On Monday, June 17th starting at 6PM, there will be in person tours, exhibits and live music from our 1908 Möller tracker organ and Steinway & Sons designed Boston grand piano followed by lectures from Historic Preservation Consultant Lyssa Papazian and Master Preservationist and Timber Framer Jan Lewandoski.
