2nd Texas Lunette Defense

Join Ranger John Castaldo and learn about the soldiers and experiences of the 2nd Texas Infantry as they endured a major assault on their position in the 2nd Texas Lunette on May 22, 1863.

Meet at large oak tree behind Visitor Center. This walking tour will cover approximately 0.5 mile, and may travel over uneven terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear, and be prepared for weather conditions by bringing a hat and plenty of water.
