On the morning of June 27th, 1864, three brigades of U.S soldiers made a fateful charge against the Confederate entrenchments at Pigeon Hill. One of the regiments involved in this attack were the 8th Missouri, U.S Infantry. On Saturday and Sunday, a living history group will be portraying the 8th MO to tell their story and demonstrate the tactics used by the unit that day. Demonstrations will be in the front field of the Visitor Center.
