From Rhea Springs to the Crossroads: Hiking with Sherman's Division

Shiloh is pleased to announce a special ranger-led hike entitled “Rhea Springs to the Crossroads: Hiking with Sherman's Division.”

Join Ranger Timothy Arnold on Saturday, July 30, as he hikes portions of General Sherman's battlelines and discusses the struggles faced by both sides during this part of the engagement. Ranger Arnold will cover units such as the 6th Mississippi Infantry and the 53rd Ohio Infantry while surveying the ground fought over and bled upon.

The hike will take place from 9:00 am – 11:00 am and hikers will meet at Tour Stop # 6 (Rhea Springs). The distance of the hike is a little more than two-miles miles over moderate terrain. Participants should wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather. Insect repellent, sunscreen, and water is recommended.
