Description

Mary Jane Oatman will be discussing the landmark 1920 Supreme Court ruling that granted women the right to vote, and how that action impacted the lives of local Nez Perce (who were not permitted to vote at that time). 

Ms. Oatman is a Nez Perce Tribal Member, past Indian Educator for the State of Idaho, and former President of the National Indian Education Association (NIEA).
