Description
This 3 mile hike will take approximately 2 ½ hours, and will start at the US Marine Corps War Memorial (parking or 10 minute walk from the Rosslyn Metro station). We will hike around the edge of the Arlington National Cemetery to Memorial Avenue, cross down to the Mount Vernon Trail and walk up to Theodore Roosevelt Island and around to Rosslyn and back to the starting point. Expect to learn a couple things too as the Ranger provides some perspectives on this unique and historic landscape of the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
