Junior Ranger Day

Pack some water, snacks, and sunscreen for a day at the park! Bring the family out for junior ranger day at George Washington’s birthplace. We have a variety of activity books for all ages available at the visitor center, and rangers are standing by to swear in junior rangers and award badges until 5p.m. Junior Rangers will also receive a special button upon completion of an activity book.

Throughout the day we invite you to take a step back in time and pose for an 18th century style portrait photo at the Kids Colonial Photobooth! Pick your favorite colonial attire from our wardrobe and pose it like you mean it! Park staff will be available to ensure you capture a new profile picture for the ages. The Kids Colonial Photobooth will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the visitor center.
