Description
Park Day is an annual event run through the American Battlefield Trust where volunteers join together across the country to help preserve Civil War, Revolutionary War, and War of 1812 battlefield sites. Join us at Gaines' Mill on April 6th from 9am-12pm as we clear away invasive overgrowth from the new acreage we recently acquired from the ABT.
Contact Claire_murphy@partner.nps.gov for more information. We will meet at the Gaines Mill parking lot (6283 Watt House Rd. Mechanicsville, VA 23111). Volunteers are allowed to bring their own work gloves and loppers, though all necessary equipment will be provided.
