Inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the rich musical traditions tied to them, Tara
Mills’s music is a blend of folk, bluegrass, and Americana that she describes as “original mountain americana.” Tara’s combines her lyrics and voice with southern Virginia native Gabe Robey to create a powerful, driving sound.

The Blue Ridge Parkway’s northernmost visitor center epitomizes the blend of cultural and natural features that defines the the Parkway. Hike to a rock outcropping or explore the 1890s farm buildings relocated to the site during Parkway construction. Milepost Music concerts are held the first and third Sunday of the month, June through September, under a majestic tree on the grounds of the historic farm.

The Blue Ridge Music Center’s Milepost Music brings free concerts by local and regional artists to locations along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. No tickets are needed. Bring a chair and a picnic lunch. No alcohol permitted on site.
