Description
The Summer Speaker Series continues on July 13 - 14, 2019 with Darrell Wheeler.
Darrell is a Nez Perce descendent and has in his heart the feelings of the Niimiipuu (Nez Perce). He has, through generations, understandings inherited at birth. Through family members and friends he has gained extensive knowledge of the Nez Perce, past and present.
His program will focus on how the events of 1877 are a part of world history that shaped human interactions, individual rights and culture. The events of 1877 were not a war of two armies, but one army against families of men, women, children and elders. The Nez Perce were not at war, but took flight, looking for the freedom to live as they always lived.
Please bring your families and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Admission is free.
