Divided Loyalties
- Loyalist or Patriot? Was the decision to stay loyal to Great Britain and King George III or fight for American independence an easy choice? Step into the shoes of historic individuals who lived through the Revolution and use facts about their lives to guess where their political loyalties were.
Operation Guilford Courthouse
- Step into the fascinating world of spycraft! Discover how patriots used clever techniques to pass hidden messages during America's fight for independence. Both soldiers and citizens played a part in this secret spy ring crafting coded signals by arranging clothing, concealing messages with invisible ink, and using codes and ciphers to communicate secretly. Join us to learn these secret methods and put your own skills to the test in America’s original spy ring.
Battlefield Archeology
- Historians and archeologists use various kinds of evidence to accurately interpret a battlefield. Step into their shoes and use archeological evidence and primary sources to determine which section of the Guilford Courthouse battlefield corresponds with their evidence packet.
Revolutionary War Pensions
- Over 2,000 American veterans and their surviving widows of the battle of Guilford Courthouse applied for pensions in the 1800s for their service in the Revolutionary War. Explore some of their stories and learn what it took to receive a pension!

Carolina Colonial Dancers Performance
- The Carolina Colonial Dancers will demonstrate 18th century dance and invite audience members to participate and learn dances.
Cannon Demonstrations at Tour Stop 6
11:00 am and 2:00 pm
Rangers and park volunteers will fire a reproduction 6-pounder cannon. They will demonstrate the drill, and visitors will learn the role artillery played in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Caution: weapons demonstrations can cause hearing loss. Guests are encouraged to cover their ears or bring ear plugs to wear.

This event is free to attend.
Location
Activities will occur throughout the park. Interactive programs will occur on the Greene Monument Lawn. Artillery demonstrations take place in the field across the tour road from the Tour Stop 6 Parking Lot. Colonial dance performances take place in the Visitor Center.
