Buffalo National River

  • Free

The Buffalo National River Partners invite the public to celebrate the 26th Annual National Public Lands Day by participating in a river cleanup on Saturday, September 28! This river cleanup will take place in the Lower District of Buffalo National River, from Dillard's Ferry (Hwy. 14 Bridge) to Rush Landing. This is a slow-paced, 9-mile stretch of river, so participants should be prepared for a full day of volunteer work.

Volunteers MUST register in advance in order to ensure enough boats, supplies, and shuttle seats are available.

Volunteers should bring a sack lunch, plenty of drinking water, protective clothing, sunscreen, and tools. The Partners will provide a few shovels, trash grabbers, trash bags, gloves, snacks, and extra drinking water. For more information or to register, please call event coordinator Aletha Tetterton at 870-416-4699.
